Conserve Water
It simply involves taking the tops off of all bottles before throwing them away. According to Tim plastic bottles by the thousands sit in landfills. Their contents half finished but tightly secured against time, the elements and even bulldozers. "Plastic bottles are tougher than you think" he tells me during a recent lunch break while paddling the Ocmulgee River.
If you consider the number of plastic water, cola, sports and juice drinks that are discarded daily and then imagine all them with even a teaspoon of liquid left in them you can see how it adds up quickly. You could almost imagine an entire regions drought sitting out in a landfill unable to replenish the earth with it healing moisture.
So take your top off before you throw that bottle out.
